At Cortijo Genesis, we prioritize fresh, seasonal products, ensuring that every ingredient is at its peak of freshness and flavor. Our commitment to a short supply chain means that our ingredients are sourced locally, supporting the community and guaranteeing the highest quality.
Breakfast will be served in the cozy Patio and is made with love and healthy and vibrant thoughts by your hosts. Homemade jam, juices and seed bread for a healthy start in the day. But if you are more of an egg and bacon kind of person that’s fine too.
We serve dinner on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Please book ahead for best planning.

Our region of Gaucin offers various cultural and folkloric events throughout the year. You will have the opportunity to dive into the different activities and celebrations of this region’s heritage.
The Feria de Gaucín is a traditional Spanish festival celebrated annually in August. During this time, the village streets come alive with colors, music, flamenco dances, and religious processions.
The Flamenco Festival of Sotogrande is an annual flamenco festival featuring performances of flamenco dance, music, and singing. This event celebrates the art and culture of flamenco, with renowned artists participating.
The Marbella Jazz Festival is held every year in Marbella, attracting national and international artists. Concerts take place in iconic locations around the city, offering you an exceptional musical experience.
The Cádiz Carnival, although not specifically in the Gaucín region, is a must-see event nearby. This colorful festival includes parades, elaborate costumes, street performances, and chirigotas (groups singing satirical songs).
RELIGIOUS CELEBRATION
Surrounding our region, several religious festivals are celebrated throughout the year, being an important part of the Spanish cultural legacy. These religious festivals provide an opportunity to experience the tradition, devotion, and local culture of the region.
The Holy Week is a significant religious celebration throughout Spain. Solemn processions take place in many villages and towns, with brotherhoods carrying religious statues through the streets.
The Feast of the Virgen del Carmen is dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of sailors. Celebrated on July 16 in coastal villages, especially in Sotogrande, it features maritime processions with decorated boats accompanying the image of the Virgin at sea.
The Feast of the Virgen de los Remedios is celebrated on September 8 in Gaucín in honor of the Virgen de los Remedios, the village's patron saint. The festivities include processions, masses, and cultural events to commemorate the occasion.
The Feast of San Juan is celebrated on June 24 in many places in the region. This festival has pagan origins and is often associated with bonfires, beach celebrations, and traditional rituals to mark the summer solstice.
The Feast of Santo Domingo is celebrated on August 8 in Sotogrande in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, the village's patron saint. This festival features processions, masses, dances, and festive activities to mark the occasion.
