Cortijo Genesis is a place where family lies at the heart of everything we do. Our story begins with a dream shared by a family who, amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, yearned for a deeper connection.
Before leaving our hometown in Belgium, one of our friends asked me: "It takes quite a bit of madness to leave everything behind and go abroad like you're doing." I pondered this deeply, and while I acknowledge that we do indeed possess a bit of madness within us, it's not the primary reason that propelled us towards new horizons.
We don't feel like we're leaving; rather, we feel the urgent need to arrive! That's what has motivated us throughout all these years of reflection and searching. It's about ARRIVING, settling in, connecting, and anchoring ourselves. A deep desire for authenticity!

the story
We've spent wonderful years in Belgium, getting married, welcoming our three children Samuel, Josephine, and Emilia into the world, and building our respective careers. Nicolas in telecom and myself as a librarian, then as a Reiki practitioner and Equine Therapist.
Some challenges have emerged in our lives, as they do for many of us, pushing us to want to live more intensely and closer to nature. An urgent desire to LIVE and to share our joy and experiences.
After many years of searching, always trusting that life leads us down the right path, we discovered the little town of Gaucin and the house surrounded by nature! What an emotional moment! After just 2 minutes of visiting, tears flowed, we knew... we had arrived.
This absolutely thrilling journey, sometimes a bit long when you're not patient like me :), is the story of Cortijo Genesis.
